Bearing Birthday Wishes

Welcome

This card started as an experiment with some watercolour paper and paints, followed by a couple of sprays of glimmer mist.  I sponged the edges of it with blue ink, and then matched it up to the canary yellow card, and got stuck.

I was rifling through my 'yet to use' pile when I came across a set of stamps from a magazine, and decided to use this image.  He was stamped and embossed, then coloured with  Prisma colour pencils and blended with baby oil.  My first try at blending, and I was quite happy with it.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed and cut into a banner shape and  the edges sponged.

After mounting the banner and image on foam dots the card looked bare, so I raided the 'butterfly jar' and found these gorgeous ones cut from glitter card scraps, and had them flitting across the card and landed on the bear and flowers.

This shot shows the glimmer and gleam.  To finish the card I added the bling, The strip had a few rhinestones over, so those were added to the sentiment banner.
