A Coneflower, A Girl and Pearls.

Welcome

Today the Challenge at CCC Digi Challenge is to use a digi and add pearls,
and our sponsor is  Karleigh Sue
and I used the image Take Time To Smell the Flowers

She was coloured with prismacolor pencils, and grounded with grass. Chalks were used to lightly colour the background a very pale blue.

The base card stock was initially faux-letter printed with a medium green using a floral embossing folder - the ink pad was a wee bit dry and did not show up as intended, so the card was placed back into the folder, lining up the print with the folder design, run through the Cuttlebug, only to discover that it had been de-bossed.  And that is how it was used.

After layering the image onto the card, using papers from my promise box (I promise one day I will use these),  some strips of Kaisercraft pearls were used for the finishing details.

  8. Very clever to use the debossed side, Maxine. What, it wasn't intentional? Of course it was! Thank you for joining us in the Through The Craft Room Door challenge this week.

  11. Hello Maxine...Although I cannot visit your Blog as often as you do mine, I just want to tell you how much I appreciate every bit of encouragement you leave for my cards. You are so faithful and you help lift up my spirit by always being supportive...I am grateful that you are blessed with the readings in my Blog and so glad that you are being provoked to dig deeper in your faith and relationship with Lord. You encourage me to continue in the ministry (sharing the Gospel through Blog) the Lord has entrusted to me. It was never easy but "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." God bless and continue to be a blessing to many.

  15. Some great pencil coloring, and terrific look on that grass! Looks so very real. Love this sweet little girl, and you definitely met the pearls requirement. So pretty, and I liked the way you've managed to center those bottom pearls on a polka dot too. The debossing looked great as well. Sometimes things just work out well.
