Welcome
I had fun in the studio this afternoon and this is one of the results.
I started with the image which arrived in a packet of blog candy from Shelly of
I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils, and added glitter to the swirl of stars by her head - unfortunately I was a bit heavy handed, and the glitter spots are larger than I intended.
I cut the edge of the paper with a Paper Smooches Die that arrived last year - sent with love from Kary of Papercrafting and Travel
The sentiment is one of my originals, from a New Zealand firm, Montaga. Embossed in silver it adds a lovely elegant look to the card.
The final detail was a touch of washi tape 'lace'.
The back ground paper was from a 'Rosie's' pad - I had no ink to match it to sponge the edges, so sponged Pumice Stone and Broken China distress inks on the edges, and they blended to make a great edge.

ReplyDeleteTerrific coloring on this pretty image. Especially good tones on the flesh features too, which I think is hard to get just right. But you did! It's a sweet image, and love that calligraphy sentiment. The washi tape lace is so pretty too, and one I've not seen anywhere. This is so very beautiful, Maxine. Great work on this. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful image and you have coloured it so well. I like the backing paper you have used and the little touch of lace along the base is just right. Kate x
