Sea Shells and a Fancy Fold

Welcome

I tried a latch card the other day, and this is the result

I had a change of pace and went for a dreamy, seaside type of card... one can always dream of a warm sunny day!!

I stamped the feature panel with this fabulous Beach Trio stamp from Kiwistamping and coloured it with chalks/pastels.

The sentiment tag was stamped using a stamp from a magazine, and was layered onto a lacy circle die cut to form the 'latch'.

The edge panel is a scrap/snippet from the After Five pad by Kaisercraft

On the inside panel I added a second generation impression of the feature panel in gray ink, just off the edge of the panel.
Lots of sponging on all the edges to keep the soft and dreamy effect.

  6. A very tranquil card for those lazy, hazy days of summer. I like the dreamy pastel shades, I´ve never really coloured with chalks, but you seem to have mastered it well. Kate x

  12. Beautiful card! One thing I love about summertime is the beach! Especially to walk along the beach, right where the water comes up and touches your feet. I enjoy walking along there to collect beautiful seashells. Your card reminds me of my summer memories. Beautiful! Thanks so much for playing in our Friendship Friday Funday challenge this week!
