Paper, Flowers and Washi

Welcome

I would like to extend another welcome to a new follower,
this time to Pamellia Johnson
who has a wonderful blog full of creativity at My Little Craft Things
Pop over and visit her, and be inspired.

This card was, despite it's look, was very quick and easy to make.

I started with a piece of patterned paper that was an off cut from a 12x12 sheet that was bought in a closing down sale - brand unknown

The sentiment was my old stand-by from Montaga, a New Zealand firm, and it was embossed with a Halogen Silver ep.

The snippet of white was trimmed, the corners rounded and the edges sponged with red ink, then mounted over some strips of washi tape in the corner of the card.

The flower was made up of three layers of Prima flowers, and then a flower surround to the brad that held it all together.

Both the paper and the white card base were also sponged with the red ink before they were layered together, with the opposing corners rounded.
I must admit that I was more than happy with the outcome of this card.

I am linking this to:

(I used embossing ink and powder to make my mark)

  10. A lovely card and a very pretty flower Maxine. I die cut most of my flowers these days and forget I have lots of prima ones. They are so lovely too, I really should use them more. I like that brad surround too. It finishes it off so well. Hugs Kate x
