Elvis to Order

Welcome

I am taking this chance to extend a warm welcome to froebelsternchen Susi who has become a follower - her wonderful blog is here.

This card is a commissioned one - with the brief that the boy it is for loves Elvis, and has taught himself to play the guitar by playing Elvis's music.

I started by googling an image, and was very happy when I found this one, so I printed it to the size I wanted, and decided to keep it black and white.

I stamped some music notes around the image, but was not happy with the result. I took a stiff paint brush and tapped it onto my Versamark pad, then onto the card, sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and heated it... and was very pleased with the results.

The sentiment was gold embossed

The white was layered onto gold paper, then a red base.  I deliberately placed the layers slightly to the right and bottom for a tad more interest.  I do hope the customer likes the card.

I am linking this to:
Old - the sentiemnt stamp, New - the gold splotches - a new technique

Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed
