Welcome
It is time for Challenge#31 at CCC Digi Creations, with the theme of
Anything Goes.
One of our sponsors this round is Oak Pond Creations
I used this Hot Air Balloon image.
I printed it out in three different sizes, and coloured the images with my prismacolor pencils
I really enjoyed these images with the attention to detail on them.
I cut the background with a stitched rectangle die, and then used Lindsay's Miracle powders, blue perfect pearls spray and gold perfect pearls powder to colour the background, before painting the clouds with white perfect pearls. This resulted in a very subtle sheen, most noticeable under electric light.
I mounted the two smaller balloons straight onto the base, but popped the larger one up on foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed with silver on the base of the card.
The finishing detail was the washi tape with the birds on a wire - I couldn't resist them, and it added a wee bit of humour to the card.
I am linking this to:
(the stitched rectangle die is new)
Thank you for visiting my blog, may your day be blessed.
Any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated.
Brilliant creation, love the image, colours and design...hope you are enjoying the weekend.xx

What a gorgeous card, and a wonderfully embossed sentiment. Thank you so very much for stopping by to share your awesome cards in our challenge this week. I'm so grateful that you do. I've always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, but just never had gotten up the courage to do it. This makes me think about it again.

Hi Maxine, trying to do a little visiting catchup this evening. I really like the effects you've achieved with this digi. The different sizing added so much interest, and I love your pearly clouds. The shimmer is very noticeable. I'm not familiar with the 'powders' you mentioned, but I'm loving the colors you've used to make these hot air balloons so bright & cheery. Using the P/pearls on the background was a good idea too, so TFS that one. The stitching on the mat adds even more texture to an already dimensional card. TFS & Have a great wkend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove these colorful balloons & the dimension you have created, Maxine.
ReplyDeleteLove this card Maxine - the added dimension works so well with the Hot Air Balloons and the washi tape is perfect! {{{hugs}}}

Unlike Karen I have never wanted to go a hot air balloon ride. We have a big HAB show on Labor Day and it is quite a spectacle. I like your embossing of the sentiment and the balloons are really looking great. The sizes give depth to the card. Thank you so much for taking time to post your very creative art with us this week at Word Art Wednesday, in our 196th challenge.

Such a lovely card and love the many colors. I'm so happy you joined our Challenge last week and would like to invite you to join us again with our Challenge this week at Word Art Wednesday. Just want to share God's Word to you coming from 1 Peter 1:24-25 which says, "For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you."
