Welcome
I am so glad you have visited me again
I first saw this Faux Texture Metal Paper technique over at Jennifer McGuire's blog.
I masked the card stock, and sponged the centre panel using distress inks -Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed.
I then brushed on gold Perfect Pearls, wiped the surplus off, then embossed the card stock with a Couture Creations folder.
The final detail was the sentiment, cut from a light bronze coloured sparkle paper.
Unfortunately the paper twisted in the folder and creased, but with a quick trim to even up the bottom of the card, and a strategic placement of the word and the card was good to go.
I love the glimmer and gleam this technique gives.

ReplyDeleteI am just waiting for some new embossing folders to arrive, and then I am going to try this technique. I read about it from a link via Mary H. blog. This card is lovely. I am certain you are the only person who knows it slipped a bit. I like the big word. I am looking for some large script dies but i have only found ´Hello´so far. I could cut them on my silhouette, but a die is often easier! Kate x
