Shaving Creme and a Butterfly

Welcome

After tidying my desk somewhat during the past week, I had lots of 'stuff' I discovered again, including the die cut and the shaving creme patterned panel.

I kept this card simple in design and with high contrast, as it is for an elderly person who suffers from Macular Degeneration, an eye condition that reduces vision severely, especially in the centre of the field of vision.  Strong contrast does help them perceive things more easily.

A close up of the panel and butterfly - I wanted clear rhinestones for the butterfly, but could not find them in my bin, until after I had attached the pink ones.  I edged the top and bottom of the panel with a narrow strip of silver glitter card.

I silver embossed the sentiment and then filled it in with silver ink, using a Stablio pen.

I am linking this to:
(The butterfly and the background panel)
I was inspired by the colours in the icing that look like my feature panel,
the magical feature are the rhinestones on the butterfly.

Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed
Any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated.

Smiled that you were given those verses to read in service yesterday morning. The LORD is amazing how He does that, so very often too when you think of all the words in the bible ... I was actsully going to do another but the LORD led me there, .. :D

  5. The contrast is beautiful. The little bit of glitter is elegant and your shaving cream background is subtle but showy. Thank you so much for taking time to post your very creative art with us this week at Word Art Wednesday in our 202nd AG challenge!

  6. I know about M/Degen as it's in my family, 2 brothers dealing with it, as did our Mom and several relatives on her side. Terrible problem & one which I hope misses me! I love your shaving cream background. I've only tried this in a fun class, and this makes me want to get messy and try it again. The marbling is wonderful and lets the lovely pink of this pretty butterfly show very well. I like that you used the marbled background as a wide border...very effective with the burst of blue under it. Your friend will love it (and be able to SEE the colors too!) TFS & Hugs
