Welcome
No, I have not dropped off the edge of the world.
I have had technical problems and time demands that I was not anticipating,
... but such is life.
I also have some "time sensitive" cards that I cannot blog as yet.
This card started with part of the master board that I stamped some time ago.
I added some flourishes to the original stamping
This large flower occurred near to the centre of the card, so I trimmed out another one from a part of the master board that I had botched, sprayed it with a purple spray, and then painted it with a (pink) glitter paint, inspired partially by the colours and sparkle on the denim butterfly that was part of an on-line class early in the year.
I mounted it on the card with a layer of punch waste and a matte lemon coloured brad.
The sentiment was stamped onto a paper sticker adhered to the card
I attached the butterfly with some double sided tape stuck to the brad, so it could be detached and used by the recipient on clothing, decided the card was a bit drab, so coloured the stamped butterflies with chalk, as is seen in the top photo.
I am linking this to:

The flower stamp is one of my first ones - 10+ yrs old
Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed

Oh Maxine, the elegant Butterfly is such a gift however your background is really appealing to my eye. Thank you so much for taking time to post your very creative art with us this week at Word Art Wednesday in our 208th AG challenge! Blessings, Carole
ReplyDeleteThis is so unusual, (I don't know what masterboard is tho! is it similar to posterboard?) The denim on the butterfly is such a cool look, and so very textured. Always love your punch waste (and don't know where to find any to use! but it always looks so pretty). The background stamping looks great with this dimensional blue b'fly. Great card. TFS & Hugs. Happy wkend.

Oh, Maxine! This is so lovely. I thought the the butterfly is stamped in fabric as it sure appears that way. Great design and lay-out as well. Just want to take the time to thank you for the wonderful comments and for faithfully visiting my site. I sure love reading them and I am encouraged each time. So very blessed that you joined our Word Art Wednesday Challenge last week. We just started a new one and we would like for you to link with us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word in Colossians 2:6-7 which tells us, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Have a wonderful week...
