Welcome
Again I needed masculine cards so I settled down on Sunday afternoon to do them. The recipient of this is a keen fisherman, and I am sure they have had a cat, so I think he will see the humour in this!
I love the expression on this cat's face, and couldn't resist the fish skeleton in front of it. The images are from a Tim Holtz Crazy Cats set, and cut with the matching dies after I coloured the cat with chalks. I grounded him on the washi tape, which reminds me of a vinyl covered floor.
The sentiment was gold embossed and mounted on a hand cut banner over some foam to give it some dimension.
The designer paper was some from a 'Rosies' brand pad I bought locally .

ReplyDeleteMaxine, this one made me smile! The washi 'floor' was perfect, (I have a bunch of washi tapes and never have one that fits as great as this one did on your card!) That cat's expression is sure to brighten your friend's day, and love the way you've torn the paper to create the design. Hope your DH is mending well and that you're not still having to make the long hospital runs. TFS &Hugs

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Maxine! I really love your creative use of the Washi tape as a floor to ground your image - very cool idea! I also like the torn edge in the background DP - it kind of adds tension to the scene of the fish skeleton and the guilty looking cat. Thank you so much for sharing your project and creativity at 613 Ave C!
