Lighthouse Birthday

Welcome

I needed a masculine card in a hurry, and this is the result - using some very old stickers!!

I started with the embossed layer of an almost matt silver card

Die cut the cranberry snippet with a M.B die for a feature layer and sentiment in one,

Added the lighthouse

and stanchion stickers that have languished in my stash for longer than I like to remember!!

Mounted the textured  and die cut panels over the white base, the edges of which were sponged with Rhubarb Stalk ink.

  8. You are so smart to always be thinking about embossing metallic papers. They give the best look especially when you are going for a manly feel. This is great and I'm sure we all have that really ancient stuff in our stash. I know I'm guilty!

  22. Oh, Maxine.....My heart sank when I saw this card. I LOVE it so much because lighthouses always make me think of my sweet sister, Audra. Can't believe she's been gone two years already. She loved lighthouses SO much, and she dreamed of visiting all the lighthouses in America. She saw many, but her journey was cut short. Now she shares every day with Jesus, the light of the world. Praise God! He's good ALL the time, Thanks for making me think of her, and thanks for sharing in our challenge.

Blessings to you always, my friend.
