Flowers and Bling

Welcome

I would like to extend a warm welcome to my latest follower, Loll from
Her work is amazing and I am humbled that she is following me.

With this card I was again suffering from lack of mojo, so I started with a panel that I had stenciled some time ago

After ensuring that it would look o.k. on the green card, I decided to add the embossed edging - despite my best efforts to avoid it, the folder left an impression down the middle of the card....

So the feature panel was to be moved to the right to cover it, but the gap on the left was too large to ignore, so out came the clear rhinestones, and that was overcome.

Ah - a sentiment was needed, so I decided to use silver embossing as it fitted with the clear rhinestones, and then I decided to emboss the edges of the panel as well....

All in all I was pleased with the end result.

  2. Hi Maxine, a great card, I can't believe you have lost your mojo! On first look I thought the silver edge was behind the stencil panel. A great tip to emboss the edges. Have a wonderful week... Megan

  10. It's very sunny & cheery, and I love the combo of colors. The stenciling colors spark the green shades of the card base. Loved the way you've fixed the 'crease marks'. That's always a problem for me using a border folder, and your fix was clever and added a lot of bling. Glad that Loll found you...she's amazing in her creativity. Also a very sweet & generously kind lady. TFS & Hugs...blessings as well.

  12. I feel this card has an oriental flair to it. It's really cool and you did that embossing folder proud. I don't do much with mine... envelope flaps... so I find this very clever.
