Welcome
This was one of a batch of cards that I made earlier this month.
I started by printing off this watercoloured lighthouse image, which was a freebie from Ginny at Christian Card Makers Group on Facebook
I thought myself very clever that I was able to superimpose the scripture on the corner of the image before printing (my computer skills are all self taught.)
I ran around the edges of the image panel and the white layer it was mounted on with a blue ink pad, stamped the sentiment in the same blue ink and clear embossed (I swear that the stamp was straight on the MISTI before I stamped). Layered those onto the red base, added the black flatback pearls and called it done. A very quickly made masculine card.

ReplyDeleteSo lovely Maxine - what a beautiful and serene scene you have created -love it! You watercolour so well! xox
ReplyDeleteWell done on your computer work on this lovely card x
ReplyDeleteI think you are VERY clever to get that verse printed on your card too! I like the soft, serene colors of this digi, and it looks very nautical with the red, white & blue. I love that verse as well, and how appropriate for so many of us, just at this period in our lives. On the stamping, sometimes it's the rubber that is not straight. I have quite a few that are like that, and wonder if the designer meant it to be so, or if just a mixup when the rubber was created? However, it looks quite nice on the card, and my eye went to the verse & didn't notice anything with the sentiment until reading the post! Nobody but yourself will ever notice anything except what a great job you did on this card! TFS & Hugs

ReplyDeleteI, too, think you are pretty clever getting the verse to layer on the image. I'm pretty positive I could not do that! Gorgeous image and perfect for a guy. Thanks for playing with Jo's Scrap Shack.
