Welcome
I made this card yesterday afternoon - it was so good to get back into the studio and create!!
I started with some scraps that I had used to mop up some 'overspray', (smooshed) and cut part of it into strips.
I eventually found that it looked best on a purple card that I had on hand. I layered a floral die cut over the strips - it was a gift, so do not know the origin of it.
I silver embossed the sentiment, but it is so delicate it did not show well on the card, so I added some rhinestones for emphasis, then also added rhinestones to the flowers and a few to the strips.
What I have just managed to capture with the camera here is some of the shimmer and shine on the strips - the sprays I had mopped up were two Lindy's, and some silver shimmer spray.

Great card and it gives me an idea for using some of my scraps! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't always easy to pick up shimmer when photographing your projects so it is great that you have managed to do so as it really shows up your lovely design. Anne x
ReplyDeleteThe stripes look really pretty. They remind me of this piece of wallpaper I have hoarded forever because it looks so cool. The purple and the stark white flowers really complement your stripes.

ReplyDeleteStunning!! Love those strips, so much going on but yet just a simple addition to create such a fabulous design down the side. The metallic sentiment with the gemstones are a lovely bit of elegance. Beautiful layout, great colours... totally adore this one! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and a brilliant way to use up some scraps. When we moved, I tried to downsize and get rid of a few things. It didn't take long for me to regret cleaning out my scrap paper container... in fact, I think it happened with the first card I made.
ReplyDeleteGreat die! The jewels look perfect with the embossed sentiment. Hugs, Autumn
