Paint Chip Flower

Welcome

I had fun with paint chips when I made this flower - The colours I used were Red Alert and Lime Leaf - both British Paints brands.

I embossed the background using the 'fade' technique, and also emphasised the blank by outlining it with an embossed oval

The flower was die cut in the two colours (the chips are quite large) and then inlaid it into the background

There were a couple of  'oops' in that process, plus a wee dab of colour where it should not have been, so what better than some rhinestones to do a cover-up job and embellish?

The edges of the feature panel and the sentiment were (heat) embossed in gold.

  13. A great way to use the paint chips. Well done. They were bigger than the ones we usually get which makes them more useful. I like the die cut, and every card needs a little bit of bling. Kate xx

  27. The fade technique for your dry embossed background is awesome. I haven't done that, will have to learn!! Your flower is so bright and beautiful cut from the paint chips. And I love that you've added that little bit of gold embossing on the edges. Great techniques and a beautiful card Maxine! xx
