Welcome
I hope I have finished all my gallivanting around - last week I was away for a conference, and now I have developed a spring cold... life is never dull!
This card was made for a youngster who lives on a farm, and these creatures will be familiar to him!
The card started with a previously made die cut (from an unidentified die) I stamped the frog and Sheep ( both discontinued) and the Pukeko (known as a Swamp Hen in Australia) .
The sentiment (an original) was gold embossed on the card base and painted with Viva Ink Gold - Inka Gold to add depth.
The creatures were coloured with my Prisma Color pencils
And mounted in the small windows of the die cut
The background paper was some I had in my stash.
I kept the card simple, as what young boy wants bling??

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card for a youngster. Love all the animals. Thanks for sharing today at LPCF
ReplyDeleteSO cute, Maxine. And again...fabulous embossing. I made a tag the other day (it's posted on my Instagram) and I had tried to gold emboss the image. It was SO bad that it was completely illegible. I had to restamp it with regular ink and then use 3-D tape to cover my blunder with the stamped sentiment. Yeah.....I just don't have good luck with embossing. I'm obviously doing something wrong.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was going to tell you that I never quite knew what your blog name meant. Then, the other day I was watching a game show and they asked a question about what New Zealanders are called, and I learned the name kiwi. That clicked in my head, and I finally got it. Just thought I'd share that. I guess it's true that we never stop learning.
Have a blessed day,
Karen
