Children and Peace

Welcome

This week at Word Art Wednesday the scripture used is taken from Isaiah 54:13

I cut the scripture out using an Divinity Designs die, Lavish Layers, using the largest die, but shortening when cutting to fit the size of the script.
I sponged the outside edge with Whispers Rich Plum ink

I then took the Spellbinders die For You and cut it in half to have the figures either side of the scripture panel

The scripture panel and die cuts were adhered to a page from the Amy Tangerine pad Sunshine and Good Times 6x6 pad of papers

To finish the card I added some clear rhinestones, two layers of organza ribbon and a tiny bow.

I am having some minor surgery tomorrow to remove some sun damage from my nose - if I am not around for the next few days it may well be that I may not be able to wear my glasses!!

  1. Sending you healing energy for the surgery, Maxine.
Your card is super, super, super cute. Those kids look perfect for the scripture. The nestie is divine as it's name and the organza ribbon and rhinestones enhance the beauty of it all.

    Love,
    Monica

  9. Hi Maxine,
I had two done on nose and they put padding on glasses so could wear them, I wear my glasses while I am awake, so needed an answer. My skin Dr just added it as a matter of course.
    Was wondering too.
Praying all goes well, nice clean removal ... you heal quickly on face so that’s a blessing.
You’ve prob English skin too, I’ve my dad’s skin not mums olive skin .. ah well. Praise Gd in all things.

Now your card is simply gorgeous.
Love the children’s dies and how you’ve coloured them and placed them around this beautiful word from Isaiah, it’s a passage I love, ... indeed we know peace when we are taught of the Lord.
Prayer hugs dear sweet sis, Shaz in Oz.x

  11. Hope all went well with your surgery Maxine, my late hubby and his parents had to have things like this done as well. Was surprised with his mother though as she never like the sun or heat and wasn't out in it, but was very fair skinned. I love the sun, but know it isn't great not to have protection, so I try and wear a hat when mowing and such. Such wear it a lot more though! Anyway I pray all went well and that you were able to wear your glasses. Your card is just beautiful! Love the scripture, the die you used to cut it out and those cute kids. Hugs, Brenda

  16. What a lovely card, those kids look adorable and a lovely scripture to pair it with. I hope you are doing well and recovering. Sorry I had not been to your blog lately. Does it mean some one was quite in the sun enjoying their summers, this year? Hope you don't need next time.
