Welcome
This card was made for a wee lass turning three - hence the three fish
All stamps were from the Sweet n Sassy Birthday Pals set -
which appears not to be available any longer.
The fish were embossed with silver onto vellum, with a touch of colour added to the cheeks and lips.
The sentiment was embossed directly onto the patterned paper, which was a snippet from my 'promise box'. (I promise I will use it one day).
The patterned paper was adhered to the blue card base, and edged with a snippet of white sparkle card top and bottom, and an extra snippet of blue sparkle card was added to the bottom edge.
The fish were adhered, and I doodled with a silver pen around the edges of the card to frame it.
I added a white insert and cut a wavy edge on it to mimic the waves.
Thank you for all those who left comments and best wishes regarding my surgery - it all went well, and I am down to small dressings now, and they stay on until they "fall off", by which time the stitches will have dissolved too... I get the histology results at my next appointment in 4-5 weeks when I go to the follow up appointment.

Hi Maxine, glad to hear all went well with your surgery. A sweet birthday card for a little one. Love the fun fish... have a wonderful weekend.. Megan
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Maxine! Happy weekend! All the best for the skin on the nose! Susi
ReplyDeleteHello dear Maxine,
ReplyDeleteYour sweet fishes card is just too cute. I love their lips and the way you added a subtle bit of colour on them. You are an embossing specialist while I just hoard my embossing powders and let my embossing pad dry away. I even bought an embossing inker in the hope that I would revive my love of embossing. The truth is that my older one and I used to spend hours embossing and then she grew up to be a teenager and left it all. And I too lost touch with it. Hopefully I will come back.
Coming back to your lovely card and you - I love the blue card stock you have used. I hope the surgery went well.
Love,
Monica
