I have another masculine card to share today.  

Last year there was a magazine that had a wonderful selection of masculine stamps in it, and all the images I have used on this card came from that set.

The images and sentiment were all stamped and embossed with copper ep.

A few  touches of colour for the tool handles and tool box.

Loved how the saw blades embossed!

A layer of burlap ribbon overlaid with a narrow red one, and a doodled edging and it was finished.

Ageless Biker

I made this card for my older  brother who has his "superannuation card" - or should that be his super senior card?-  and still frequently rides his motorbike(s) - yes, he has more than one!!

He is a great fan of CAS, so that gave me two good starting points.  The motorbike was cut using silver card and an unidentified die... 

I cut a piece of tan card with a stitched edge, splattered it with silver, and placed the bike on that

I embossed a M/B stitched rectangle  to form a frame for the card, 'stretching' it as I went.

I sponged on some clouds using Memento Brilliance Moonliight White ink, and silver embossed the vertical greeting.

As can be seen in the above photo, the card I used also had a slight texture to it. 

I finished the inside with some washi tape across the full with of the liner.

The card was appreciated, and is still on display some three months later :).

Birthday Chick - With a Twist

I love the Art Impressions stamps, but only own two sets.  I used the Spring Chicken set for this card to send to a friend who is older than I am.... 

I coloured the image with my Prismcolor pencils, following the image on the packaging for colour placement, but I used greys not browns.  To add some class, I added glossy accents to the mug and her glasses.

I grounded her with some grass, and then added chalk to the background to softly colour the sky, but having already stamped and embossed the sentiment, I left it white to add to the impact of it.

The twist is that this is an easel card

I embossed the panel with a net pattern, and swiped an espresso ink pad over it, then added buttons, and washi tape for a rustic/ farmyard feel. 

I was pleased how this turned out, and my friend loved it!

More Daisies

So glad you could call by again

I have used daisies from the Graphic Fairy again this week for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge  - I just loved the illustrations of daisies that Karen shared, and they are free for downloading here 

I fussy cut the daisy image after printing off the verse in a fairly large format so it is easier to read.

I used a Memory Box Stitched rectangle die to cut it out, but had to adapt the die cut for a good 'fit'.

I mounted the daisy image and verse onto some chrome yellow cardstock, then added the green gingham across the bottom of the card.

A bow at the base of the daisies. and some green rhinestones and the card was finished.

Bleached Flowers

Thank you for calling in.

I made this card for swap in a small online group of stampers that I belong to, and the challenge last month was to use bleach on our cards. 

 I decided to make a Brusho background on watercolour paper, after reading this tutorial,

The image was from the Happy Little Stampers set called Especially For You [the store appears to have now closed], and I embossed it using a Brutus Monro e.p. called Sandstone [which appears to be discontinued]

I masked the flowers as I stamped them, and after embossing them, I coloured the stems with a sharp Prismacolor pencil

I then applied household bleach to the flower petals, waited as the 'magic' happened, then repeated the bleach treatment, not only then, but also again next morning.

I layered the image panel, offset, over some green card.  Stamped and white embossed the sentiment on a snippet of the same green, and cut it into a banner at one end.  Both layers were then mounted on an orange base.   A few white sequins were randomly added, and wee bow finished the card.

This card was made using only one stamp from the STAMPlorations set Blooming Buds.

I inked the stamp for the feature image using markers, coloured it with watercolours, then layered Wink of Stella over it!  The background was also water coloured.

I double die cut the frame from orange card stock and adhered the image behind the frame.

 I randomly stamped the image using Versamark Ink over the background, and clear embossed it,  The framed image was mounted onto the background using some card from a cereal box to add some dimension.

The yellow card front was mounted onto the orange base, and some ribbon layered over corrugated card was added to one side of the panel,

The final detail was the embossed sentiment, cut to a banner shape and layered offset over a blue banner

The inside was finished with some washi tape.

I appreciated the break I had, and am feeling the better for it, and I will shortly get back to visiting your blogs and commenting.  Thank you for your support and patience.

Blessed - Mia's Gift

Now I am back on my computer, I can properly welcome Pauline Bird of Crafting With Cotnob, Meena of  Dreamation Designs, and Christa, who does not blog.

I arrived home this afternoon from a meeting and discovered that there was parcel waiting for me at the local Post Office, I couldn't wait, so went into town and collected it.

It was a gift from Mia, of Craftartista, who celebrated her birthday with a giveaway, and my name was one of those drawn... she is so very generous - this is the parcel as I opened it, with a card and some hand made paper on top

A coin purse, two dies, some dimensional cutouts, ribbons and a wee cloth cat

A stencil, stamps, sparkly stuff galore, flatback pearls, tassels, flowers, a ring, pendant,earrings ....

Washi tape, fluffy flower ribbon, herbal teas, and the absolutely best part of all for me

My first ever House Mouse stamp!!

This card is my DT card for the new 

Word Art Wednesday challenge,  starting today.

I was so pleased that I was able to import this week's free scripture onto the gorgeous vintage art piece that I obtained from the Graphics Fairy website. 

I mounted the print over a mid green card,  and then onto the dark green base. I added a row of white dots with a signo white pen.

I finished the inside of the card with a piece of green striped Washi tape
