Roses and Words

Welcome

For this weeks Word Art Wednesday card I have chosen simply to accent the scripture with flowers, over some marbled card, that I purchased locally

The verse was printed onto card and then cut using using a Romantic Rectangle die from S/B
(which appears to be discontinued), then sponged with Whispers Rich Plum ink before removing the die. I added a layer of foam behind it to give some dimension when adding to the base card.

The roses came from Rosie's Studio, and are simply white paper roses, but again I cannot find them on their site.  I lightly sponged the edges of the petals with the Rich Plum ink, and wound the wire stems into coils before attaching them over some die cut and painted leaves, from KaiserCraft, and added a wee bow of twine to complete the accent

On the inside of the card I sponged the edges of the copy paper liner, and on the left I stamped a rose, using my markers to ink the stamp.

  1. What a lovely verse, Maxine and I love how you framed it with the lacy edge and inking, and decorated the inside of the card. The roses are a beautiful addition too. Fabulous dimension.

  17. The real roses are gorgeous (well, not "real" but...you know what I mean (the pretty roses on the front). I also love the stamped rose on the inside. It's such a beautiful card to showcase the wonderful words of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so blessed to serve the one true God...our everything! And I'm blessed to have you in my life as well, Maxine. May God bless you today and every day of your life as you serve Him, live for Him, create art for Him and glorify Him through your life. Hugs to you, my dear friend, all the way from (101 degree) Las Vegas, NV.
