A Stencil and Hello

Welcome

This is  a quick post this evening as I have been away and am trying to catch up on visiting and commenting :)

This card was made for a swap group that I am in, and the theme this month was to use a stencil as the main feature on the card front.

I laid a stencil from a now defunct company on the card, and sprayed with a Lindy's  spray - purple and teal - the teal shows in the larger dots - I could not get a good photo of the shimmer.

The sentiment is from the Rosie's Studio set Arabesque.  The small stamp I put directly on the background,  repeat stamped it, and it smudged (despite being in the Misti) so then I stamped it on a white snippet and ran a black pen around it in a loose frame, and was more than happy with the result.

The stamp and die cut greeting was a greater challenge, and I ended up die cutting then stamping -  even that was not 100% successful, and a calligraphy pen helped some of the oops!
The roses on the sentiment were coloured with a gold pen, and I layered the die cut over another white layer, then a purple layer, which I offset slightly to form a shadow.

The main panel was mounted over purple and then onto a gold coloured base

I finished the inside with some white card to balance the weight on the front,
 and some gold washi tape.

  1. Well, it sure turned out beautiful in the end. I love the use of washi tape inside and may do that myself just to use up some of it! I never think to use it.

  10. Just stunning Maxine. Sorry for not visiting more often. Miss stopping by. It has been a stifling hot summer. With no air in the computer room at 100 deg. Fahrenheit with 70+ humidity it has been impossible. It is cyrrentlt above 90. You will be the last comment.

    Love, Hugs and Blessings
