Newsprint, Flowers and a Butterfly

Welcome

This card started as a  cream, trifold, pre-cut I was given.. I had sprayed a Lindy's Spray called Sweet Violet, Purple and Teal over the base, and was not happy with it initially, so it was put to one side for a week or two...

When I picked it up again I stamped the panel behind the oval with a newsprint stamp I won recently from a N.Z, store, Three Buttons,  It is from a set by Jilli Bean called Butterfly dictionary.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed with Renaissance Red ep.

The butterfly was made from a piece of silver patterned deep red paper glued over a firmer paper and then cut using an older  Marianne die, and embellished with some clear rhinestones.

I raided my various packets of flowers and came up with this combination of various one layered and held with a jewelled brad

This was tailor-made for a family member who loves butterflies.

  20. It looks so elegant! Mostly through the butterfly and flowers, but it is also so serene; great how you didn't use so many colours and got a great effect! Hugs, Gerrina
