Daisy, Daisy....

Welcome

And a very warm welcome to my newest follower Bonnie of Stamping with Klass.  I am honoured that she has followed me, as her work is amazing!! Please pop over and pay her a visit.

I made this card with the 'goodies' I won over at Pixies Snippets Playground -a set of stamps and dies from Newtons Nook, Dainty Dasies, and a Feeling Dotty stencil by Altenew

I stamped and die cut the daisy image - the stamps gave a clear impression first time, and the die cut like a hot knife through butter - and then painted them with some watercolours - from a sample sheet of Daniel Smith Watercolours, sent to me by the wonderful Libby Hickson of

I then cut two masks, one of the daisies, of which I used the positive, and one of an oval, which I used the negative of,  placed them on the card where I wanted them to go, then applied iridescent medium though the stencil - and when I was happy with the result (shhh, second time around) I left it to dry overnight!!

I mounted the daisies over the background on foam squares after trimming the panel a wee bit, and added a narrow border of lace down one side

The sentiment was also in the stamp set, and stamped then die cut with a S/B double ended tag die.

The inside was decorated with a narrow strip of gold Washi
