Welcome
I made this card for a patchworker - not that the paper was 'patchworked', it was printed that way.
She also is not a 'fussy' person, so I left the card fairly simple, letting the paper do the work for me.
I embossed the sentiment, making it the focal point on the 'stopper', sponging it before removing it from the die, and then layering in over a fancy die cut - both dies are by Spellbinders.
I also added a lace bow to soften what was otherwise a fairly plain card.
This is the card opened out, showing the back of the 'stopper', and some lace trim on the inside too.

It is so gentle and charming, Maxine. The doily nestie and cotton lace look beautiful together as does the paper. You always heat emboss your sentiments which adds much.
