A WAW Twofer

Welcome

For this weeks Word Art Wednesday Challenge we have this lovely scripture
(it is on the site as a freebie)

I simply printed the sentiment at the size I wanted it, then cut it using a Memory Box stitched rectangle die, elongating it as I needed while cutting.

I added two wee folds of ribbon under one top corner, and wrapped a longer piece of ribbon around the panel, tying a double bow, before mounting the sentiment panel.  I used a piece of digi paper  (an old freebie)from TLC Creations across the base of the card - I chose this design, which I had printed out and it was haunting my desk asking to be used, as it was the only one I had with any form of transport on, to indicate that at times we literally "go out" to share the Good News of Jesus.

My Twofer card is one that I had made using one of the sponsors images,
the Stamp Simply Thinking of You Rose Stamp and Die Set (Currently on special)

I stamped  the image in dark brown ink and coloured it with Prisma colour pencils - this is so well designed the shading is very easy to do as it all indicated on the stamp!

I die cut the stamp and the word and adhered to the dark pink background, then die cut a S/B labels 14 aperture out of white card, stamped the sentiment in the brown ink, and then embossed the panel before adhering, putting a layer of cereal box cardboard under it to give some dimension.

  1. A bumper post of creativity Maxine, the soft colours on the first work so well with the scripture and both of the Rose cards are very pretty and feminine.

  3. Both cards are so very nice, Maxine. I like how you looped the ribbon on the first card. Very elegant creation.

The second is so pretty with the rose. How clever to layer it with an entire sheet of cardboard.

    You are very ingenious.

    Love,

We sing a lovely 'hymn' or song with those scripture words, that I have always enjoyed singing it.
