Welcome
I made this card for a dear family member who loves her garden, but is unable to be out in it much now. She also loves lemon and green colours...
Unfortunately the camera has played tricks on me and the lemon cardstock looks more kraft in these photos - so cross, as the card is really pretty IRL!
I'm not sure where the paper came from now, (I think it was from a Craft Wise pack) but I loved the flowers on it. The butterflies are cut from the M/B Pippi die
The sentiment is from Montarga (a N.Z. company), and is embossed using deep green ep.
The patterned panel, and the sentiment banner were mounted over some card that had been covered in metallic book covering plastic film. The banner shape was hand cut.
I decorated the inside of the card with a strip of the patterned paper. This photo shows the true colour of the lemon cardstock I used as the base and the sentiment banner.

That is so pretty Maxine.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite annoying when the colours don't photograph well
Beautiful! Love the shine of the butterflies too. They're going to love your card!

This is a beautiful card Maxine. I love the background paper and the color compo you selected for this card. Your dear family member will love it I'm sure! The camera can mess with colors can't it?! But I can tell it is yellow and not kraft, loving those gold butterflies as well. They goes so well with the background paper. I feel your family members pain of not being able to be out in the garden as much. I always loved puttering in the garden, but don't do it much at all anymore because of mobility issues and heat/sun. Hugs, Brenda

Maxine: your card is so lovely and full of sparkles! Those gold butterflies are perfect and perfectly placed! FAB card!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card for your friend with garden notes Maxine. Know what you mean about cameras and colour, my in theory white flowers on today's post look decidedly cream.
