Pearls, Lace and Scripture

Welcome

It's time for another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday, and the scripture I have used on this card is the one that is available free on the blog.

I printed the verse, then die cut it with a m/b stitched rectangle die, that now appears to be unavailable, and sponged some Memento Ladybird ink onto it before removing the die.  I also cut the layer of rose gold paper with the die one size up.  The rose gold paper is actually wrapping paper - I don't think I will be running out of it for some time :)

I mounted the feature panel to the left of the centre step, then added a multi-layered flower and some (Zva) pearls to the side.  Some lace completed the two side panels.

The inner panel was kept simple with just some rose gold washi added to one side.

  15. Wow, this is a stunning card Maxine! I can't believe that gold paper is wrapping paper, that just blows my mind. lol I've never seen gold glitter wrapping paper, but I do live under a rock most of the time. Your scripture is so beautiful the way you did it. I just love how the inking highlights the scripture and draws the eye in. The rose paper is just stunning and the lace just adds that extra touch. Love your flower too. Just stunning! Hugs, Brenda

  16. This is so pretty Maxine. The sponging before taking it out of the die has a lovely effect and that sponging is so beautiful too. I have to try that soon.

  17. You have some beautiful background papers Maxine. I shy away from anything black, but in this, it really makes the pink roses stand out. A nice use of pearls, and of course, a lovely verse of scripture. Kate x
