Windows and Roses

Welcome

Despite the Covid-19 we can still make our cards and share our work thanks to the internet - I call my computer my 'social life in a can', and it's so true now!

Today is the start of another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday, with the accompanying scripture freebie on site.

This fortnight our sponsor is Heffy Doodle and they are providing a generous prize package worth approximately 40 Pounds (U.K.)

I started this card with the 'left over' half of a sheet of card that I used to make another card of the same fold.  This time I added some paper from the Kaiser Kraft
Rose Avenue pad.
The edges were all sponged with Tea Dye D.I., and then, as it was too 'yellow', I sponged Victorian Velvet D.I. over that again

These roses were cut from the top layer of a paper napkin

The verse was trimmed out, sponged as described above and then adhered onto some pink paper, and the sides trimmed with a Paper Smooches Borders 2 die.

This is the card opened up, with a snippet of the patterned paper edged with just the Victorian Velvet DI across the bottom.

  26. Maxine your card is beautiful. Perfect in every way. I love how you used the window portion of the card stock. Very, very nice. BTW Thank you for commenting on my blog. I still can not reply to my posts and I'm just tired of trying to figure it out :-). I looked up your game and it seems very interesting. I may order a set to see if Richard has enough vision to read the cards. Thank you for giving me another game to try.
