Welcome
It's time for another Challenge At Word Art Wednesday where our sponsor is Art Glitter, who are providing a generous $50 voucher for the winner
My card today is very simple, as I do like the scripture to take center stage, I also like to have cards on hand that I can use for a man or woman.
The scripture is available at Word Art Wednesday as a freebie
I die cut the verse with a stitched rectangle die, and sponged around it with Barn Door DI before removing the die
After mounting the die cut panel onto some neutral patterned paper, I placed some gold ribbon across the corners, then layered a narrow gold edged red ribbon over that, with a bow in the center of the top corner treatment
The inside was finished with a strip of red and white washi.
I am linking this to:
(the gold ribbon is super sparkly - just doesn't show well in the photos)
Looks so stylish, while it is a bit grungy too; so original! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteA super card Maxine, beautiful ribbons.

I agree that Scriptures ought to be the focal point and the other elements you have used are perfect additions .

I always love your scripture cards Maxine and this one is no different! I love how the inking brings the eye in to the scripture, the background is subtle and allows the scripture to stand out. The ribbons just give that little bit of dressing up, but also pushes the eyes to the verse. Love it! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThe red and gold is a great colour combination. I really like how you inked around the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, the scripture is the main focal point of this card and as such it should take centre stage. I like the addition of the ribbon and nothing else. Very classy card.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
