Welcome
And a very warm welcome to my latest follower Carla Cremonesi
This card was made very quickly, using odds and ends on my desk
I started with the watercolour background, another Brusho's piece I think, and a basket sticker I had found a few days before when fossicking around on my messy desk!.
I gold embossed the sentiment, an old Hero Arts one, and die cut it before sponging the edges with (Memento Ladybug) red ink, and popping it behind the curve of the handle of the basket
The green ribbons were added, and the clear rhinestones over them again for a touch of bling
The edges of the inner panel were sponged with the red ink, and then a piece of striped washi was added across the bottom

What a beautiful card. It would make any birthday happier :)
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty one Maxine. You are very good at giving all the details of how your cards are made and that is so helpful for your followers. I liked the bees in your previous post too. Sorry I didn't get around to commenting on that one. Kate x
ReplyDeleteMaxine, I am duly impressed by your ability to pull together a card from the bits and bobs left on your desk! Don't get me wrong... I have my fair share of bits and bobs hanging around from prior projects waiting to be used or put away properly, but I've never been successful at using them together! I'll have to really challenge myself to do this, once and for all! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and I do hope you'll come back soon to play again!

Wow, what a great card just from things you found on your desk! I am so loving that brusho background piece, I would have never thought the basket was a sticker-thought it was a die cut, it is so cute. Love the green ribbon with bling cause who doesn't love a little bling?! Well done Maxine, now I wish I could put together something this great with things I found laying around. lol Hugs, Brenda

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely warm background with those shades of orange and red, the perfect foil for the brown basket. I love how you thought to tuck the rounded sentiment behind the basket handle, it works perfectly.
