Stand Tall

Welcome

I recently bought some stamps from Ink Art Designs, and the lovely Dot Lethbridge included some extra, stamped off images, this giraffe being one of them!!  Thank you Dot!

I used it to make this card for a young teen boy's birthday


I coloured  him with my polychromos pencils


I had this background I had recently made, using glue and Vintage photo DI., that I learnt here


I mounted both the image, and the embossed sentiment, panels over some snippets of forest green card


Added some dis-assembled string around that layer, then adhered it to some kraft card for the base, adding the final snippets of the green card under the corners

  10. Brilliant card Maxine sorry not been around much came down with head cold.
    Love that giraffe... don’t think I have one as it dues make a good guys card.. that being said though I’ve an abundance of men stamps.

    And what a wonderful background technique with glue, too, I wonder if I’ll remember and experiment with it? Thanks for sharing the link!

  16. I love this. There are some really nice jungle and safari animal stamps, both old and newly released, but there is something about a giraffe that always akes me smile. And of course your background is just perfect. Kate x

  17. I must follow your link for that background. It works perfectly with that adorable giraffe image. Perfect for a teenage boy. So many wonderful techniques I have introduced to my club recently have been as a result of your blog. I always say where it came from though, never will I not be fair.
