Pink Peonies

Welcome

It's good to be back blogging again - I had intended to be here sooner but it's been
one. of. those. weeks.

This card was made for a very dear aunt, well into her 80's.

I started with a piece of ombre pink paper, and stamped it with the Gina K majestic peony stamp, leaving part of it off the edge, then embossed it using some platinum ep.

I added some extra shading a Prismacolor pencil,

The sentiment was embossed onto a vellum strip using the same ep

I adhered the main panel to some rose gold paper on a cream card base, adding a layer of lace to the left side of the stamped image, and some two strips of tiny adhesive pearls as accents.

I finished the inside with a piece of the same lace adhered to a snippet of the pink paper

  25. Ah yes...more of the perfectly precise embossing in silver. I'm still a tad jealous, but I do love it. It's gorgeous against the pink. Thanks for sharing it in the challenge. Your art is always a blessing to me.

  26. So pretty in Pink. That is a lovely image Maxine, and you have certainly done it justice with the colouring you have given it. I love the delicate pink of the page and then the slightly darker shades where you have ficked some colour onto the flowers.
I see you have included a strip of lace to the inside of the card - so thoughtful of you to add a touch like that.
    Blessings, Neet xx
