Interference Inks and Scripture

Welcome

My kitchen is a shambles, but as a friend once said, you can't make an omelette without breaking an egg!

Last week's Word Art Wednesday Challenge is sponsored by DRS.

As I don't have any of their products, I used a background technique to feature the scripture, which is available free from the challenge site.

I used interference inks,  Opalite brand, over shiny black card. Unfortunately I am nearly out of the card, so cut the base of the piece to 'stretch' it.

I mounted the scripture panel over the main piece.

Love the marbled  look of the inks, and the sheen of them, over the black.

As there were no more scraps, I  decorated the inside with Washi tape.

Blessings

  2. Stunning Maxine. I have some Opalite inks that I haven't used in a very very long time. Must remember to break them out.

  5. That marble look looks so beautiful!
And most of the tiles I do the household work first, but sometimes you just have to have 'me-time'! And some ideas have to go out of my head and onto paper... Enjoy your week and stay save! Hugs, Gerrina

  8. Lovely card Maxine. I really like the background you created. Don't you just hate it when you are a bit short on something? That was a great solution.

  9. Are you doing a kitchen remodel Maxine?? I guess I missed something! lol This card is just stunning! I don't understand how you made that amazing background, but it looks like space/heaven! It is just stunning in all ways. I love that scripture as well, so beautiful. I hope you are able to get more shiny black card as you are so good at this technique. Hugs, Brenda

  16. I love the overlay used like this and your beautiful background. This has made a beautiful card which does not detract from the scripture in any way but is still there to see and admire.
