Welcome
This card came about as a result of series of 'ooops' moments.
The focal panel was a 'reject' snippet from another card, that was going to be for a specific challenge.
The other card was completed, and I realised it did not 'fit' the requirements of the challenge!!,
So I re-thought, and came up with this.
The challenge requirements are for a CAS card with pink, grey and gold.
The focal panel was splattered with Memento London Fog and Rhubarb dye inks
The image (Altenew Mini Blossom) was stamped and gold embossed with WOW Metallic Gold ep, then painted with the same inks, diluted, and surrounded with dots of gold Liquid Pearls
The sentiment was embossed with the same ep - the stamp is a Magazine Freebie
I wiped the edges of the card over the Rhubarb ink pad too, which just shows in the above photo.
The inside was finished with patterned pink washi tape.

Beautiful card and such a pretty colour. Your series of 'ooops' moments must all be as beautiful as this one. Yes, Bella is going to be our fur baby, breeders agreement and then after two years and a little of pups she will be all ours. xx
ReplyDeleteMaxine this is so pretty. Lovely flower and the touches of gold add so much to its beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card with a fabulous colour combination. The mini blossoms look beautiful and loving the richness of the gold Maxine x.
ReplyDeleteOh this is very dainty and classy at the same time dear Maxine! Lately I am starting to appreciate those shades of pink and blush on things :) I find it very nice even to be paired to neutrals like black or white or as you did it here, with gray :) hugs to you dearest Maxine and please sty safe !~
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so beautifully with the pretty rose image!

Maxine: I really like the mixed media approach to your floral focal!!! Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo pretty, Maxine. You always amaze me with your fabulous embossing skills. I still don't have it down, and I tend to avoid it. I have all the right tools, but I just don't have the technique down quite yet. I'm a work in progress....LOL. I also really like the idea of using a strip of washi tape on the inside of the card. I'll definitely use that idea. It really brightens up the inside of the card. It would be cool on the envelope as well. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteWow Maxine, this is a gorgeous, elegant card! I think I need more oops moments if I could get a card that looked like this one! Love that flower you used and love the color combo you used. Another beautiful card from your work desk Maxine. I love the colours you chose - Rhubarb is one of my favourite fruits - just love the taste and so I was bound to like this shade of pink. Another favourite of mine is grey with pink. I used to wear a lot of silver grey and always teamed it with pink accessories.
