Be Still With Stars

Welcome

It's school holidays here and I am doing a lot of babysitting of my grandies - add in an extended family 80th birthday 'out of town' celebration, and life has been somewhat busy!!

I made this card for a friend was having a rough time with their health, and was in and out of hospital for quite some time.

I started with the dark blue base and added some textured paper that came in a mixed pack of paper scraps that I purchased when first card making, 15 or more years ago...  I sited it to the left of the base.

I then stamped the sentiment from Rubbadubbadoo, and gold embossed it, on a snippet of the dark blue card, mounted that onto gold paper, and then onto corrugated card.
Those layers were then attached to the card over the edge of some gold ribbon

I used another snippet of the red and gold paper to the inside
I was pleased with how this card turned out, and the recipient loved it.

  12. Be still....a lesson I've been learning for more than 50 years now. When I am still, and I really lean on His holiness - that's when I'm truly at peace. What a wonderful reminder. God bless you, Maxine.

  24. Lovely and appropriate words for your friend. All together a lovely card, ~I do like the way the red has those textured dots, the close up shows them so uniform that they look like beads stuck on.
