Welcome
A few weeks ago I attended an evening meeting where there was a lovely supper shared, with some beautiful serviettes (or napkins).
When I saw them I asked the hostess if I could have one for card making - and she willingly said yes.
I separated the layers of the serviette, and glued one section with the lavender onto some white card, slightly smaller than my card base.
Before attaching it to the base, I threaded the gold elastic through that layer and the tag, on which I had embossed a wee sentiment, and tied a bow.
I offset the main panel to the left, and added some lace to the right of the card front
The inside was decorated with some washi, overlaid with some more of the lace.
I gave this card to the lady who gave me the serviette, and she was so thrilled. E. has family in South Africa, and as she cannot guarantee any mail arriving safely there, she was going to photograph the card and send the photo to a relative.

A beautiful card Maxine, a lovely serviette, I don't think I would be able to use one that was that pretty!

A very pretty card Maxine. I love how you tied the flowers with the gold. The addition of the lace trim down the side is just perfect and the inside too.
ReplyDeleteThey do make sone beautiful serviettes these days and I always look for packets of tissues (as in handkerchief size) that are nicely decorated. Lots of resources out there - trouble is I don't go in shops these days with the pandemic.
Take care stay safe and well and keep crafting.
Blessings, Neet xx
