Roaring Dinosaur Birthday

Welcome

This card was the result of a 'playtime' yesterday - the idea came because I had seen these cute dinosaur stickers in a local '$2' type of shop, and bought them.

The card just sort of happened as I went - no real prior planning.

The 'sunrise' was stenciled on, and the sky sponged almost as an after thought...
The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine, which I embossed using coffee bean ep.

This is one of the stickers - kind of cute!  I grounded him on some scribbled  'grass'

And here's a close-up of the other one

The 'grass' border was initially a pale green card, that I inked direct to paper with some Memento Bamboo leaves ink, then flicked some green markers over it to add more colour and texture, after hand trimming it to (sort of) look like grasses.

The inside of the card was finished with a trimming from the green card, but it did not photograph well

Then I couldn't resist stamping this across the bottom of the envelope!

I am linking this to:

(I used stickers, markers, embossing, stenciling, fussy cut 'grass')

  18. Well, that freebie sentiment sure matches the dino stickers perfectly, doesn't it? Although, these 2 don't look like they do much roaring, as they are smiling! Thanks so much for sharing with us at 2CCC, and good luck! :)
