Welcome
We are in lockdown, so as I am not as busy as usual, I have time to blog more and craft more...
This card was made some months ago, for a young boy, and I found I had not blogged it.
I am sure the sentiment and image stamps were magazine freebies..
The feature panel is the 'floating image' technique by Natasha Foote, only I did it my way 😀, and the circular background is the floating element with the image on top.
The image was stamped and coloured with my Polychromo pencils, and I added glossy accents to some elements for added interest
I stamped the banner and sentiment directly onto the patterned paper background
I repeated the bird image on the left side of the inside, leaving his party hat off.

How cute Maxine. A great card. Be safe. Things here in Auckland are a bit close for comfort with lots of places on the North Shore - luckily none I've been too but two of my work colleagues' children have to be tested as there is a teenager with COVID from their school. They are going tomorrow to be tested.
ReplyDeleteA great Birthday card Maxine, a super design.

What a fun birthday card, Maxine! I love the circle of strips of DP... looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the quirkyness of the bird with party hat! And the strupes make it strong; perfect for a young boy!
ReplyDeleteQh bah back in lockdown; doesn't sounds good... Think it has to do with the time of the year over with you... here it is going slowly to more things that are allowed. (Is also influeced by the number of people that are vaccinated I think). Keep healthy and cail! Hugs, Gerrina
This is absolutely adorable Maxine! Big hugs, Autumn

So sorry to hear that you all are back in lock down again Maxine. Our numbers are high again too, but from what I have heard, we aren't going into a lock down. I guess we will see how that plays out in the long run. Your card is adorable! Love the "floating" circle and that cute birthday bird. The colors and textures are great and I love your coloring. I bet the little fella who got this card loved it! Hugs, Brenda
