Scraps and Packing Tape

Welcome

Thank you all for your support - I am well on the road to full recovery and working from home this time - thankfully!

The theme for this months swap in the small local group I am in was to use strips of  paper as your background.  I am in awe of how some folks interpreted this - mine was fairly simple - but colourful.

I had spent an afternoon recently gluing waste strips of paper to an A4 sheet of paper, so I trimmed out a piece to fit this card front, and mounted it over dark blue card stock,
Some of the strips are alcohol ink trimmings, glitter, and metallic card, and some tidy pieces from stamping failures.... and my stack was not much reduced at all 😮

The dragonfly (unidentified die) was cut three times and layered,

As was the word die cut, (a Memory Box die).  The top layer in both was cut from card covered with clear packing tape, which gives a 'faux embossed' effect.

The inside had a final trimming added to it.

  16. I love the bold colours of the strips that form the background to this card. The word in black and the gold dragonfly are all that is needed for this and it looks lovely. I do like the strip on the inside.
Glad you are home, take it easy and get well.
    Blessings, Neet xx
