May Flower Bouquet

Welcome

Todays card was made for a keen gardener.

It started with the pink background which was made with Bushos with Pearl SprinkleIt's added, on watercolour paper .
It still looked rather insipid, so I used an old 'blow pen' to add the fine splatters.
It was so old that the other pens in the set have dried out, and it took me ages to figure out how to use it again!!

The image is from (the now defunct) Layers of Color, entitled Mayflower

I stamped it using some Tombow dual coloured markers, and loosely coloured the images with the lighter shade of the colours, trimmed it out and added some ribbon around the stalks before I adhered it to the base.

The sentiment was embossed using Platinum E.P. on a snippet of the blue card that I used as the base.
A strip of the lemon ribbon also was added to the panel.
A glittery gold butterfly was added immediately below that.

The finishing details were the tiny champagne rhinestones which I not only added to the bottom corner, but also to the flower centres

I finished the inside with a corner of the flower stamped off the edge

  5. Oh that is pretty Maxine. The colouring is just right and the ribbon adds a nice touch. It wouldn't have looked so good on a too fussy background so your brushes and splatters are just right. Kate x

  9. Beautiful card Maxine! I love that brusho background, the splatters really gives it that extra something, something. The colors you chose for this card are so pretty together. Love that bouquet and the pretty butterfly. The lemon ribbon under the sentiment and around the bouquet is so pretty! The champagne pearls look so pretty and finish this card off perfectly. So beautiful on the inside as well. Hugs, Brenda

  11. Such a pretty card with a delightful background. I love images such as this where you can colour each little flower, so relaxing to do. The blue against the pink looks very nice and I can imagine the splatters show more in real life.
So pretty with the inside decorated in your perfect way.
    Blessings, Neet xx
