Copper, Scripture and a Bookmark

Welcome

I trust you have had a wonderful New Year, and that all your resolutions will come to pass -
I have got canny in my senior years and just don't make them - that way I am not disappointed or frustrated if they don't work out.

This first challenge for the year over at Word Art Wednesday is sponsored by the wonderful company Top Flight Stamps, with a generous $25 voucher for the winner.

As soon as I saw how this scripture had been crafted, I thought of a bookmark

I had in mind to make it with a masculine slant, so once I had trimmed out the scripture, I layered it over a kraft layer cut to a slightly larger size.  The top was shaped with a paper Roses tag die

I had this wee Celtic knot stamp that I embossed in copper at the bottom of the text
I also embossed the edges of that panel with copper ep.

The top was finished with some twine and chiffon ribbon

  1. Excellent bookmark! It is perfect for a man's page marker. The Psalms are a great place to find encouragement in the bible.
Stay safe. Love hugs and blessings.

  8. Hi Maxine, a superb use of the text and love the copper embossed edges you added. I don't do resolutions either, I have better chances of things sticking when change is needed, I gave up wheat after being unwell in October, over 20 years ago, on the two occasions I've tried again my tummy was not happy so I just live wheat free.... who said change must happen when we change a calendar! Have a wonderful weekend.... Megan
