Welcome
I had intended to post before this, but it has been a very busy time with lots of change - I have family now living with me, and another part of the family is packing sell their house and move to another town, so lots of babysitting etc going on...
This card was made for my New Zealand swap group where the challenge was to to use a funny picture or stamp of a creature, with a funny saying - this is my result, which the recipient loved, as they are no longer an early riser!!
Loved this sentiment, and stamped it in Espresso ink, die cut it to form a speech bubble and added a 'pointer'.
There was some sponging with Memento Ladybug ink before I removed it from the die, then ran the edges over the ink pad, and popped it up on foam dots.
The chicken I stamped in Memento Peanut Brittle ink, then coloured it.
Glossy Accents was added to her mug and glasses
The inside received the same embossing treatment.

A fun card Maxine, I'm sure it will give a smile to the recipient of your swap group.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun image and text! I know; make it CAS and it looks bare on many cards... Hope you are having some nice weather; here it is gray and not raining but still wet, if that makes any sence... Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! What a good idea to use the edge embossing folder. I have several and haven't used them yet.

ReplyDeleteSounds busy in your world Maxine, I hope you are enjoying your new "room mate(s) as well. Although I'm sure it is an adjustment. Babysitting can keep one very busy but nice to be able to give them back. lol Best of both worlds! I am in love with your card!!! Love that hen, she is just so dang cute with her hat and latte. lol But it is the sentiment that I am loving! I'm still an early riser, but maybe once Bret moves out, Savannah and I can sleep in a little bit. lol I have that embossing folder as well, love how you used it on this card, will have to keep this idea in mine. Hugs, Brenda
