Welcome
Another fortnight has rolled past, it seems in the blink of an eye, and the new Word Art Wednesday Challenge is now open.
Our sponsor this fortnight is The Stamps of Life , with a generous $25 voucher for the winner.
My card this time started with a sheet of paper from my spray box, that had predominantly gold spray on it, but there are some hints of blue there too.
I die cut the scripture into an oval, and then framed it with the pink die cut frame, and mounted it over the fancy die cut which was layered over the background paper.
In the 'flowers' on the die cut, and around the edge of the scripture panel, I added some clear
Kindy Glitz to enhance the sparkle of the card
The inside was finished with a scrap of the paper on the base white card.

ReplyDeleteWow a special colourcombi! It is again an elegant background that you made for the text! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done Maxine, you’ve showcased this verse beautifully, I don’t think I would’ve thought of the pinkish cardstock teamed with the gold but it looks really great! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Maxine: I love the verse for this time of the year in the northern hemisphere because of seeing the beauty in snow-covered trees and bushes, the architectural designs of icicles...full of God's glory. Your card is lovely--from all the glitter and shine to how you did the Scripture focal piece! Splendid!
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely!! Thanks so much for joining in with us at PIP Challenges!

The stitched scallop frame is adorable, Maxine. Another fabulous scripture card, and I thank you for it. I'm thinking of you often. My house is suddenly quiet, and I'm rather missing it a bit. God will give you the patience, strength and all you need to get through the more "exciting" times in our retired lives. It's always interesting, that's for certain. God bless you, my friend.

Wow Maxine, this card is just beautiful! I am loving that background paper you sprayed, the gold with the hint of some blue is so pretty. The pink fancy die cut piece is perfect on top of it. Love your scripture and how you draw the eye in with that oval and the pink scallop oval. The sparkly stuff on the edges and on the flower centers is perfect, so love that. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteA super card Maxine, lovely colour choices and elegant design.
