Welcome
I have a (tween) grandson who loves dragons. He had a birthday coming up, and I was saying to a friend that I had no dragon stamps, and she brought out this image and allowed me to stamp it off!
I was a bit intimidated in the colouring, but settled down for an afternoon's painting with mica paints.
They gave a fabulous sheen to it, and I was pleased with the result.
The sentiment was white embossed on a snippet of purple card, and layered over a snippet of green
My friend also gave me some of these wonderful deep blue sparkles that I added
I finished the inside with the same colours of card that I used on the sentiment.

Wow- this is such an amazing dragon, and I love your coloring of the image with the shimmery paints. Hope your GS loves it!!!
ReplyDeleteWow this one simply shimmers. Fabulous dragon and perfect for a tweeny.
ReplyDeleteHe's rather splendid Maxine. I love the effect of mica paints.
ReplyDeleteI have so many boys in our family and they get harder to make cards for as they get older. My 'tween' great-grandson is only interested in football, but even that get limited when you have spent eleven years making football cards!
I haven't seen that dragon stamp before so maybe it is a home based company to you. Either was it is a great card which i am sure he will love. Kate x

ReplyDeleteWow, this card is amazing Maxine! That dragon image is amazing...I love it so. But I think I love the way you colored it as you have made it come to life with your coloring. The gold just shimmers so nicely as do all the colors. Mica paints are so cool, I need to try it with my mica's, which I still haven't played with yet! I bet your grandson loved this card or will love it when he gets it! Hugs, Brenda
