Welcome
I recently taught a card class where I followed a tutorial by Natasha Foote to make some abstract backgrounds.
I used Semco mica paints (a very cheap set) and diluted the blue to three shades to add variety.
We only made backgrounds in class, and this is one I finished into a card
The mica paints added interest with the shimmer and shine, and then I randomly stamped and embossed with a silver hologram embossing powder, an abstract 'doodle' .
The sentiment was stamped in blue (using a magazine freebie stamp), die cut using an oval die, and then sponged with the same blue before removing it from the die - I then doodled some faux stitching around the edge with a silver pen.
The feature panel was wiped over the blue ink before being adhered to the base, as was the inside panel.
I finished the inside with some car washi tape top and bottom
as the card is for (another) great grandson.
