Scraps and Sparkle

Welcome

This card was made for a young boy, and actually started with the scrap of corrugated card that I printed off when gel printing one day, and there was also some white acrylic paint on it too

I then coloured the sky blue and the foreground brown, and added some green over the print, which acted as a resist.

The images are a very old set that I stamped and embossed, then coloured them with watercolour paints.  I used a gel pen for the silver elements, and put glossy accents on all the 'glass' ie, windows and headlights, fussy cut them and adhered them to the card front.

What I did not capture well with the camera was all the sparkle I added to the background
I also copper embossed the sentiment and the edges of the focal panel, before placing it onto a Cranberry base

I finished the inside with some copper dotted washi tape and another image from the stamp set.

  12. It's the end result that counts not the age of the stamps. I need to sort my stamps out as I tend to use the same ones these days and have forgotten half of what ~I have = well, over half I think!
Anyway the card is super and I am sure it will be loved - the little truck in the bottom right hand corner caught my eye. Hias headlights make him look to have a sad face and that makes him rather cute to me.
    A super idera = a super card.
    Blessings, Neet xx
