Anniversary Blues

Welcome

An anniversary card  for my DS and his lovely wife.  Each year I try to include an element repeated to mark the number of years they have been married...it's getting harder....

I decided to use the colours that they had included in their wedding - yellow and blue, so started with a background created by blotting up surplus yellow ink from an inky session.  There's a wee bit of copper spray there too...

I made the heart by spraying through a Uniko 'ink and flip'  stencil - it worked, but just - the result is not a smooth colour, but one with a subtle sparkle, as I used mica sprays

The sentiment was heat embossed with royal blue EP, and fussy cut into a double ended banner

The elements were assembled over a strip of very sparkly blue sticky tape centered over the background, then mounted onto blue card,
The tape was also used on the inside of the card and the envelope.  That tape was the star of the show for my DIL

  3. Maxine, this is not only a beautiful card, but such a thoughtful one as well. How nice that you use the colors that were in their wedding. And I love how you try each year to incorporate the number of years that they’ve been married in someway. I can see where that would be hard as the years go by. But this card is so lovely and I know that they appreciate getting it so very much. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate your participation!
