A Bevy of Beauties

Welcome - thanks for calling by again.
I have had the pleasure of making cards for three wee girls who have been born in the last month.

This was the first of the cards, and I gained my inspiration from a blog I follow, and the artist was good enough to supply a template - unfortunately I cannot remember who, and their name was not on the template.  What I did learn from her was to use an oval spellbinders die to cut the 'leg' edge.

The collar was cut using a Spellbinders Die, and pearls added for decoration, and the lace was a scrap I had on hand.

The sentiment was initially stamped using white ink, but that was not distinct enough, so I re-stamped and embossed it. Although I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I was slightly off, so there is a shadow effect.

The next onsie was cut using white card, and the edges sponged.

After cutting the 'collar' portion, I sponged the edge whilst it was still in the die.  After stamping the sentiment I added bling to finish the card.

The final card was again cut using a white base and sponged with pink.

The collar was cut from a dp that has a slight sparkle in it, so I also added sparkle to the paper lace I edged the sleeves and legs with.  The lace was originally white, and I added colour by running the lace over the ink pad.

I am linking these to:

I also love the ship card (post below this one). You really come up with some incredibly unique ideas and have the knack of thinking outside the box (unlike me). Great job!
