Sunflowers and Butterflies

Welcome

Butterflies, sunflowers, and music - great memories of a wedding day ten years ago - and the traditional anniversary for the tenth anniversary is tin or aluminium, hence the layers of silver on the card.

The die cuts were all made with the same set - the smaller one was simply placed at right angles to the large one.

The heart stamp was stamped using Versamark ink and clear embossed on a tectured card - the sentiment was silver embossed on smooth card.

The sunflower was an (old) freebie digi image from Beccy's Place that I printed out and coloured with chalks. One was left as it was printed

This other one was made of two layers, one having the outer petals cut out of it. The layers were given extra dimension using foam tap.

The final details were the butterflies, cut with a die by Memory Box, from the same silver paper as the layers.

  11. What an absolutely charming card! And I loved how you tied it in to the original wedding as well as the 10 year tin/aluminum theme! Cards mean so much more when you can tell that the giver put in some good thought! I also really liked how you placed the die cuts at right angles. I've never tried that before, but it created a really stunning visual effect. Great job on this card and I'm so glad you played along with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
